We have a client who wants to put some display lights inside of his Air Force shadowbox. The tricky part is, he'd like the lights to shine through two old honeycomb light covers that he scrounged off a retired plane. The covers are about 1 1/4" in diameter (see attached photo).
We found some white LED strands from Worlds Aglow that we thought we could coil behind the covers, but they emit this horrible high-pitched whine whenever they're turned on.
Does anyone know of a simple, small and flat LED or other light we could use behind these things? Something with low enough heat emission and hopefully no annoying whine.
These covers and lights would be mounted to one edge of the shadowbox wall so they would shine downwards when the frame is hung on a wall.
