This was one of my designs for a friend of mine.
Tad bit modern for my taste, but this fits her !
I was very pleased how it turned out and three cheers for Raphael's! I faxed them a drawing showing what I wanted to do and everything fit together flawlessly.

Three layers of Raphael's. One liner, one mat and one mat liner.
Frame is Nurre.
It has an extender made of pine painted gloss black.

Colors in the close up are better. Big picture too dark.

Please excuse the pictures. I have not retouched them.

I like that line from Nurre. It's been around for quite a while but my rep says it's still a good seller. The silver/silver and silver/gold are great mirror frames.

Nice!

I think it looks great! To see this, gets me thinking out of the box.

I hope your friend appreciated the thought and skill that went into it.

Contemporary elegance!

Thanks for sharing it.

Looks great :) I really like it.

Something you might want to consider, placing the glass between the frame and the liner so the liner stays nice and clean.. I've done that before with great results.

Glass is actually on top of the liner.
Thanks for the comments.
This has gotten me two more diploma jobs!

black liner

I would have thought the same thing - except for my experience with a black fabric (silk) mat board that I have on a piece with no glass.

I just happened to give it a look over on Saturday and it is holding up fine after 5+ years.

I used their Raylon / nylon aka looks like "silk" fabrics in order to keep cost down.
I can tell you now, it was hard to keep clean and had to clean the black a little even due to handling it.

Behind glass for it ;)
