I have a customer who wants to be able to have her bird photos displayed in a frame with the ability to have some sort of sound feature that is activated by the viewer. There would be, for example, 3 photos of some different owls in one frame and would need a "button" for each to activate the sound each one makes. Building the shadowbox and basic framing concepts are a no brainer but the electronics are something that evade me. I'm thinking about something like what you see(hear) when you go to those sample kiosks for lifescapes or putamayo music cd's. Any ideas?

I have a device iin my hand called "Voice Over" made by Voice Express Corp in Tuckahoe NY and the phone number on the back is 914-395-1010
It is designed to be attached to the back of a frame - when you touch the button, your pre-recorded message plays.

You will probably have to wire your own button in but should not be a big problem.

I once did a couple of frames for my brother that included the sound of a recording of the play-by-play broadcast of a gamewinning baseball play depicted in the photos. He carefully dubbed his taped soundtrack onto a Radio Shack voice-memo recording keychain, which I rigged up inside the frame to be triggered by a mechanical button that emerged from a small hole in the frame's side. It worked out great. One of the frames now hangs on Johnny Bench's wall.
