I'm familiar with Tyvek when used in clean room suits etc. but I have never come across in sheet form or roll form as in it could be used in dustcovers for frames.

Please educate me, am I correct that it is the same type of product that is used in protective suits, I can see how much of an improvement it would be on Kraft paper.

Would anyone know who manufactures this product, "manufacture" as distinct from distributors.

Thanks guys.

D,
Tyvek is a trademark of DuPont. You can get rolls at local home stores in USA. But look towards your building supplies people to get it.

Jerry

Falcon East has it in rolls.

It is manufactured as a "home wrap" for between the framing and the cladding. I have only found it at one building supplier in NZ as there are many options available from other sources.

Thanks Guy's now I understand.

Great idea/tip could over come the "traditional" thing here.

I think I may have problems in Ireland, we build in general double block with a foam insulation.

I will go hunting.

Dermot,
there was a lengthy discussion of Tyvek quite a while back. Orton, our resident guru, did a good job in explaining its efficacy. Check the archives.
