Hi. I'm looking for information/suggestions on doing bulk (more than one or two here or there) in house canvas transfers . I would probably be doing 20-30 ct's per month. I would be interested in what tools/equipment/resources that others found essential/helpful, as well as any procedures, particularly removing the paper from the laminated image and UV coatings. I've done small, one at a time transfers via laminating the print, soaking, scraping the paper off, mounting to canvas and stretching but am interested in advice on handling a bit more volume.

Thanks for your help.

I have a local co. that does them dry! seems there is a 'grain' pattern to the different photo papers so they know where to start/what direction to go.

didnt know there WAS another way("laminating the print, soaking, scraping the paper off, mounting to canvas and stretching ") to do it(other than mounting them to perfect mount or some such). probably be more $$ to do it that way but alot faster. talk to you reps about qty pricing, either way.
not meaning to pry but how did you get a gig with soooo many/mo???

Talk to Drytac ... as well as selling equipment and supplies they periodically run "how to" classes. Their catalog is also very informative.

I'm guesing on the high end for volume as we haven't acutally done them yet. We're a tourist gallery with a pretty good niche market in Northern MN and we sell alot of ct's. Our "guy" who was doing them for us is going under... what the ####, let's try it ourselves
