I have been waiting since January for Larson #25417 Flocked Door Easel Back. My cudtomer needs 5. When she approached me in January I called Larson as to their availability and was told they would be in the middle of February. The customer was in no rush. these are the exact ones she had used previously so i saw no reason to look elsewhere. I have called 6 times since February 15th. I have been told each time they weren't here yet. I called today and was told they were all gone and they would expect more in the middle of march. I was told to call even though I had them on backorder so I wouldn't miss them. That did a lot of good. Pretty screwy backorder system if you ask me. Not to mention why are they so hard to get? I would think they could keep up on supply and demand for such a base item.
These easel backs are a very trifling problem considering all I'm up against right now (if you have read my other post this week). But I have decided to put all my energies and frustrations into this quest for 5 easel backs. It probably is misplaced aggression but it has to go somewhere, at least it can be productive aggression if I can score this nice lady her easel backs! I don't want to call my customer and tell her we have to wait another 3 weeks considering the 6 weeks she has already waited. Right now i can't afford to alienate anybody. besides it is the principle of the thing. How hard is it to keep easel backs in stock? My rant is now over.
