He died in his sleep in Chadds Ford PA surround by his family early this morning, after a brief illness.


His life may be gone but his images will live with us forever.

Wonderful art. I grew up wanting to paint like him. I went a different direction with my work, but still love looking at his. When he did the Helga paintings everyone wanted to know if this was the mistress, or an ingenious PR scheme. What do you think?
