That's a good lead, as the "block box" (the interface between the computer and the mat cutter) is easily the most mysterious part of the Mat Maestro or iMat CMCs. One of their big selling points was that there are no cards installed in the computer, just the software, so that if the computer went down (as mine did), you could be up and running on any windows-based PC. If the black box went down, they could ship you another very quickly. That doesn't happen, quickly or otherwise, when the company is in Chapter 7.
