Last 3 pick ups just happened. Sign is on the door and the answering machine has the holiday message.

Not coming back till Monday unless I start jonesin' and need to make some ready mades. Merry Christmas.:icon21:

Good for you Jeff. I am stuck here until noon tomorrow, then that is it until the new year.

Merry Christmas.

I hope you have enough blood in you to get you there Bob. Why don't we have a bloody finger Icon. Maybe the Mods (Mike) can get us one for a Christmas gift.

I'm here until 3PM tomorrow.

Still hoping for some last minute jobs.

Merry Christmas!

Here until 5:00 tonight, then 10:00-12:00 tomorrow for a last pick-up, and then off until Tuesday!

I almost wish we lived out of town from our families - then I could justify taking a few extra days off for vacation and visiting. As it is now, it just feels like hustling from one family event to another the whole weekend since none of the families could possibly be civil enough to one another to do the holidays together! (And then coming back to work to check on things!)
(I might take off an extra day next week since my husband has off until after New Year's...)

I'm hanging until tomorrow at 4:00. I live just up the street, no snow to contend with and I have been impressed at the number of last minute shoppers out there. I am going to make hay while the sun is shinning...... Merry Christmas every one, and to all a good night...

I just finished the last piece needed for Christmas (a shadowbox). Called the customer to tell her it was done. I let her know I would be here till 6 but that tomorrow was iffy due to the weather. She said she didn't think she could make it today cause she is coloring her hair! :icon45: Then she said she might not pick it up till after Christmas.

I told her to call tomorrow morning to see if anyone was here.

:faintthud:

Go take a well deserved bubble bath, Jeff...

I finished all my Christmas orders yesterday, with the sole exception being one where the customer hasn't dropped off the artwork yet. Not my problem.

All done - even the 'hopefuls' - 4 of which came in today.

Tomorrow I will be ready to blow a few people away - happens every year - by framing stuff practically as they wait, wearing a suit! (Well, once in the workshop, jacket off, sleeves rolled, apron on!)

If it doesn't happen then (feeble) in-roads may be made in to all the stuff that's come in during the past week or two that was not required for Christmas, otherwise I'll just mingle 'out front' - don't get much chance to do that and it's fun.

Then 4 days off with nothing planned but chilling out.

Hey Dave, how'd you get my baby picture. The girls went shopping because GeAnn didn't get paid until today and she felt guilty asking for money to buy my Christmas presents. I do believe I will soak in the tub cause my feet are killing me. Maybe I'll bake some cookies while they're gone (got a tub of chocolate chip cookie dough at Sam's Club) even though that stuff needs no baking to be tasty.

I have no idea what I'll do till Monday since I never take time off. If I get bored this weekend I'll go in and make some ready mades since I just got 7 freshly sharpened blades in today (thanks Quinn Saw). I'll throw the other 6 in a box and send them right out for sharpening so I can burn through these right away.

I don't believe it, my shadow box lady came and picked it up! Had her hair in a towel. Her elderly mom didn't want her going out after dark until she found out it was a present for the mom's favorite child (the lady's brother). Of course, she told me this in a southern accent and it reminded me of the family skits they used to have on Carol Burnett. I was picturing Eunice and her mom!

Congrats!

Tomorrow at 4pm I'm done for 4 days. Yesterday was a solid, busy 15 hour day. Day before was a 12 hour day. Day before was a 10 hour day. Today will be a 14 hour day.

I can't wait until probably 1am tonight when I'll be done.

Done till Jan 4th

Gotta come in to do inventory though - but its beer & fun with my son & daughters helping (hopefully)

Have a very Blessed Christmas to all.

Don't let a poor year keep ya down

Remember the true meaning of Christmas which far surpasses finances!

I am going to celebrate!

In a retail location now. Looks like I might take saturday off, (if I get the hang of COD/WAW) but probably back on monday.

My last was about 5:30. Hallelujah!!!

I am soaking my feet in this heated foot spa right now. Seriously!!

The local arts council gave me one for Xmas more than several years ago for Xmas. I dont know why:shrug:. Guess I was complaining about my feet hurting. It came out of the box for the first time tonight.

OMG!! I cant believe what I've missed. Im trying to think how I can use it at the shop.

All orders have been picked up or delivered. I was planning on stopping at 3pm for the day, but I get a call from a client who has a mall location and his joiner is down and he doesn't have the time nor manpower to make any frames.

He asked if there's any way I can cut and join 60 frames for him...NOW. Of course I can, so I call him 2 hours later and offer to bring them up to the mall. (Have any of you seen the malls the day before Christmas?)

Order delivered, payment taken, I ask if there's anything else he needs. Can he get 80 more frames for tomorrow morning?

My thoughts are to 'Strike while the iron is hot'. I guess I'm not finished for the day.

Hey you deserve the time off after all that hard work. Go for it.

DONE DONE DONE DOEN-oh i can't even spell anymore.
Last job picked up today, busy as it should be this Christmas.

I hope it continues into the new year, yea! Open tomorrow till noon or 2pm we'll see. Christmas shopping to do too.

I am not even close to being done. I had a woman come in 10 minutes after the shop closed with a pile of stuff. Only 1 custom but a bunch of photo frames that I will fit up for her. Still have several pick-ups and 1 other try for that won't be a problem. Then I have one to do for my MIL. I hope to get out of there by 2:00 pm. With my luck though someone will be in with a last minute shadowbox or jersey that has to be framed. BRING IT ON.

I've still got one Christmas order where the customer hasn't dropped off the artwork yet. That one ain't getting done, but I really don't care. There are some family dynamics there that I just don't want to be involved in, so I'm not even calling to say I don't have the artwork yet. Everything else is done, and I think picked up, too. I actually had a good day, taking in 3 quality orders that aren't due tomorrow. The post-Christmas stuff has always been better for me than the Christmas stuff.
