I e-mailed John Taff when I read that Decor was publishing a book of 50 "Frame of the Month" projects to find out if the project I sent in last year was included. He told me it is and is sending me a copy of the book. I thought that was a very nice thing for him to do.

I have considered getting this book. Which frame is it? Was it an award winner? I think I have seen it before.

A framing groupie.

Carry on!

Jay, the project was in the May 2003 issue of Decor. It was a cross stitch of what looked to me like a bride from the 1920's, so that is what I called it.

John mentioned the book in the last issue of, what was it? Framing Business News, I think, possibly in the editorial.

If you want particulars, I'm sure you can get them from John. You can get his e-mail address through the Grumble. That's where I got it.

Oh I thought maybe it was that picture of a lady that had a thin silver frame with three white mats. The bottom two mats had round corners and the top mat was very very heavily "figured" to mock an old ornate frame.

You know the one i'm refering? I think it was yours.

Jay, that was mine, but that was a PPFA competition piece. "Frame of the Month" is found in Decor magazine and has nothing to do with the competitions.

Yea you’re right that’s where I saw that. "For Members Only".

I want to let you know that I absolutely loved that design. I would like to say that it inspired me to design something similar but the word "inspired" would be a very liberal use of the English language. I totally ripped it off. I copied it exactly but I have never sold one. I guess I’m waiting for a photo that deserves an elegant presentation. And I want to give you credit. It was truly a nice piece.

Wow, Jay, what a nice way to end the new year.
I laughed when you admitted "ripping it off". Now that is a high compliment! I had it on display before I sold my shop. I sold it, or adapted it, a few times. I think we should both give Brian Wolf credit. I adapted it from his Wizard program.

Ummm Brian Wolf?

What program? Tell me I didn't spend 2 hours copying that when that template is already out there somewhere!
