If you need a really different frame -

Several years ago, I tried to talk Betty Neuman into doing something like this....
but she just scoffed, and doubted that I was even a framer.... :icon11:

OK, let's play Unusual Picture Frame!

Here's my favorite. Some guy named Bron made this. Totally cool.

I'm glad we all have a right to our own opinions :icon21: It would be a really boring world if we all liked the exact same things - this frame by far is definately not one of my favorites.

More So, thanks.

In defense of my misunderstood baby, this frame references the architechtonic frames of the mideaval period, in design and construction method. Add some 20th. c. Tramp or Folk Art, like that "wicker" frame, and a painted finish rather than gilt, modernism, and it's very much in the history of frames. And after about the 4th. iteration, the client, Me, likes it. 8-)

Guess I need to find a picture of the frame that uses hex head bolts for ornaments. 8-)

1) I LOVE that frame, what a great enclosure for some neat creature!!! 2) I would also love to see that example with the hex bolts..bet I`d love that too. L

Mar, my wife looks at another of my paintings, and thinks Shrek should be poking his head over the hill ... everybodies a critic ... humphh!

Luddite, I looked for a photo of the frame with bolts; couldn't find it, but the artist is local, and still has the piece, ... I'll see if can get a photo. My filing system, pre-digital, is a little ... unorganized.

I hope you do not think I am criticizing your project - I think it is MARvelous!!!

Mar,

I would rather have someone be critical, than just ignore a piece; at least they are somewhat engaged with the art. And, I found it humorous that you, and my wife were looking for some "fictional" character in these paintings. Here's the one that "needs" Shrek.

Paul, Takes one to know one, with a big grin ... 8-) But Paul, I realize belatedly, you were talking about the kid in the wicker frame, right? Not my baby?
