I am looking for ideas about framing a football jersey. I have done many of these but I am looking for something nice for a good friend.

My friends name is Billy Shaw. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech, a former Buffalo Bills player and a 1999 Inductee into the Pro football hall of fame. He is a super nice guy. I don't know if the jersey is a college or pro football jersey.

At dinner this evening Billy told me that he was going to bring the jersey by my shop.

Keep in mind that I don't have a CMC.

Any ideas and/or photos will be appreciated. :help:

BTW this is my 100th posting. :kaffeetrinker_2:
Thanks to all you "G"s for all of your help :D

Hey there................if you check out some of the profile pages there are albums where people have phots................
Grumbler cwiser comes to mind, on some awesome jerseys.........hes actually sooo good it makes me sick!!! :D
Check out the pages..........thats the easiest!!
Good Luck and HOPE FOR THE PRO~BOWL JERSEY!!

Those are my most fav to do!!

I actually took an order for a Bret Favre probowl jersey today...............I charged them double just because they like the pack:vomit:ers! (I'm soooo kidding);)

Check Frame Makers posts in the design area of the G. Dave does some awesome jerseys and many don't require a CMC.

In fact check out his hand wrapped leather frames with the lacing in the corners.

Thanks blackiris. Still looking. Cwiser doesn't have his jerseys on his site anymore. :icon9:

Jeff, Still searchings Dave's postings. There are over 500 when you search jersey.

Jeff,

I saw that frame, Great job but I'm not that talented. Wish I was.

Help

Thanks Jeff and blackiris,

Anymore ideas. :help:

Here is the latest leather football frame that I have made

The color is a bit darker in real life. I charge $30 a foot + $50 a frame for these. I mill my own moulding then cover it. If you are interested let me know. I can supply you with a finished frame, or if you would like to save some money I could send you a chop and you can lace it your self.

Here is another that I did for the framing contest

BTW there is nothing in this project that would require a CMC.

Dave,

Love them both especially the one with a jersey in it.

Sent you a PM. :kaffeetrinker_2:

Ray, since you don't have time for one of my leather frames, you can still do the helmet or sleeve strip in the mat. This is an easy thing to splice in before you cut the mat. Is it a GT jersey or a Bills one?

Not Yet

Dave,

He hasn't brought it in yet. I'm here until 8 pm tonight. Like I said before: "LATE night job", :icon45: :kaffeetrinker_2:

Great Job

HB

Beautiful job. Don't think I will ever be able to hand cut mats that way. You must have a very steady hand and good measuring skills.

Thanks again. :kaffeetrinker_2:
