I've just been asked to do a double hockey jersey display case with two or three photos. This job is tragically being done in memory of a local teenager who recently passed away from cancer.

His coach came to our store and wants us to frame these items so they can be permanently displayed at the local ice rink where the boy played his hockey. The two jerseys are from his high school team and his club team.

We're a new shop but have already started to create a reputation for doing excellent sports framing but I really want this to be VERY special. Something that will make his family, friends and coaches moved upon seeing.

I would greatly appreciate your ideas and perhaps photos to help me create the "perfect" memorial to this young man.

Thanks in advance! Mike

Mike:

The showcases from Southwinds mouldngs are great for jerseys (see the showcase thread in this forum).
They're easy to build, distinctive (in that they're not the typical shadowbox) and would work very well for your job.

They can be built with or without a door, with a shelf (to display pucks or photos), and can be glazed with acrylic for protection. The backing mat would allow for framing a couple of photos.

I'll be happy to answer any questions about them. You might also contact Fred Schwartz @ Southwinds. He is GREAT and will help you out tremendously with whatever you need. I have the number at the store - if you give me a call I'd be happy to get it to you.

Tony
