Received the Summer Specials mailer from United Manufacturers today. There is a $25 coupon off the next purchase of $200 or more - that EXPIRES JULY 31st! And I received the coupon after 2 PM west coast time on the 31st!

Also received my Studio Moulding Pricing Update effective July 14th on the 30th with a postmark of July 24th. That is just plain wrong - vendors should not assume that all framers are using POS and that they can download increases. If you are going to have an effecive date, there should be some sense of obligation to mail them in a timely manner. When I complained to my rep, she said the company said they were all mailed on the 30th of June, but I have a postmark from July 24th, so someone is not telling the truth.

Sort of reminds me of a poster company I knew.....that if they were having cash flow problems, suddenly "accidently" shipped out everything COD and then offered a "credit on a future purchase" to offset the COD fees for those who complained.

I just got a United coupon too. I bet that if you called United and explained that you just got it, they might extend the date for you. Wouldn't you, if it was your customer? Sometimes when sending mailings by Bulk Mail, the post office takes its time.

I will agree that the PO has their problems now also. I requested a catalog to be sent from the same state that I am in. I requested priority mail because I was in a hurry. I got it 3 days later. In the same state, that should not happen. Although, in Rob's case, sounds like someone is not doing their job. I would scream bloody murder to make any orders retroactive.

Rob I know I mentioned this about a year ago. I guess nothing has changed. I got an offer after it had expired.

One possibilty, becuase this happened to me, is that they hire out a mailing house and they sat on the order. I'm on my mailing list so I know when the mailing is sent.

That's one reason I dumped Tracy. They were always dropping items and raising prices, but would never send out any notices or price lists unless you specifically requested one. One of my current vendors just took a price increase effective July 15, but "doesn't have a printed price list ready yet"

This reminds me of the ZERO warning we get from the California State Board of Equalization (Sales Tax folks). We usually pay sales tax deposits monthly on the previous month. What they did last quarter was typical. They sent the form and required 1.5 months worth of tax. The state is trying to get blood out of its businesses. They do this all the time. We suddenly have to come up with several thousand dollars on the whim of the State.

Oh well, at least we are not state workers. 200,000 workers had their $8. per hour pay cut to minimum wage while the state works out its budget.

Oh yes. That's the biggest scam going. (Maybe it's just a "cost of doing business" for us, but why should it be a windfall for the credit card companies? Those fees should be rebated back somehow. It's a real eye-opener for people who don't own their own businesses when you explain this system to them.

Placed a big $ order to company, had a very nice young lady help me and took my order no problem. "will you let me know if anything is out of stock?"
"Sure No problem" nice young lady says Also please include NEW PRICE LIST AND CATALOG.
boxes come in XMAS time. only there are items missing I never received any indication any thing was B/O. Ok nothings changed again!!!
But now I receive my invoice for what does arrive there is a price higher than what the little flyer was stating, makes me stop and check all prices.
Found two more. Call Co. Leave message, Get call back we go over first, no problem will correct, next item ,price book different than invoice,"Well that was due to a price increase in july" price book is printed in April brand new.
placed my order no one said anything different.
What is going to happen with backorders? ship piece meal and get charged for shipping each time( order placed under no shipping for 300.00$).
Insanity is doing the same thing over & over and expecting different results.
