But our kitchen table would be overfloweth with bottles of various beverages, so when I saw this old advertisement in my pile of prints it reminded me of the autumn/winter holidays. ;) I thought I'd dress it up a bit with some leftover fancy mat board and an extra deep painted bevel.

that bottle of Cointreau it made me think about a version of one of my favorite Cocktails

a side car
My version was equal parts of Cointreau and Calvados ( French apple brandy)
It used a champagne glas that had the rim frost with sugar

I have see other Side Cars and drinks using Cointreau
But that version brings back memories

Well, not so much cordials, but a good selection of snifter worthy whiskeys, rums, and brandy.
I have Calvados in the arsenal, but it's mainly used in cooking. Not real keen on sweet drinks.

Lol I love buckwheat mead, if that tells you anything about how sweet I like my drinks. Or sour, can't beat a good whiskey sour either.
