Ok... I must vent.. I have been trying to sell my equipment and inventory for the last 5 years now... ok.. I know I could have sold the fletcher 2100, 3000, seal press, and cassee, and ovelcutter about 20 times now.. but then I am still left with a mountain of inventory... I am a former Deck The Walls owner and now a Moulding Sales representative... I try to catch shops opening but not much luck, i have ran in the paper more times than i can think. I have a new baby coming and can think of a better use of the money i am sending the storage unit it is sitting in...boy I Could use some help. Is there not anyone serious about opening a almost turnkey frame shop.

After five years trying .............I think that you should accept that nobody wants what you have in a job lot.....

Take the hit and sell it off piecemeal..........why waste any more energy and time .....

Good luck

I feel your pain!

It's not something I'm looking forward to but I'll soon be putting my remaining inventory on Ebay. I'm thinking by lots, not by piece; i.e."20 floral prints". I was extremely blessed - I found someone to buy my equipment, supplies, tables, etc. and a Grumbler helped by buying my oval frame inventory. And, of course, my "going out of business" sale helped, too. But I still have a lot of framed pieces, gift items, and prints(probably 5000 - half shrink wrapped, half in tubes! I don't think Ebayers care if your inventory is 5 years old - just list it as "vintage"! ;)

Ok, guys, I was just kidding!!!! :p

The possiblity of hitting gold (the customer you can unload on) is hard to come by. If you did bad with this stuff why would they want it?

Get rid of the moulding for pennies on the dollar. The equipment you have to piece meal. You are a rep...it should be easy to get rid of equipment. If you have 200-300 customers, give everyone the info. If they have friends they can pass it on.

I also am fixing to open up my own gallery after making lots of money for others for over 20 years. I know there is money to be made in custom framing and I want some of it too.

The problem I am having when looking for used equipment is the fact that the people selling refuse to break up the package and I can understand that but
I am pretty much set on the equipment that works best for me and what I am comfortable with. I want what I want. ;)
I don't want to buy a bunch of stuff that I don't want in order to get a few things that I really need. Funds are tight and I have to find the best deals possible.
I recently bought a fletcher 3000 for $900 and I won an auction on ebay this morning for a seal vacuum press 4468H for $800.00. All I need now is a decent v-nailer, mat cutter and a saw and a few odds and ends then I am good to go.

If anyone has any of these items in good condition at a reasonable price..please let me know.

Looking for a buyer for a CMC

Still looking for a matcutter? If so, I have a Wizard CMC (computerized mat cutter) which I want to sell. Email me if interested.
