Customer has 2 separate papyrus prints, size (3 ft x 6 ft). Customer claims they were displayed at the place of purchase as sandwiched between 2 pieces of acrylic, with clips holding the edges. I mentioned Chicago Screws and clips are needed. However, I wonder if the papyrus will stay in place -- I have my doubts. Perhaps the papyrus can be mounted to the backing acrylic sheet with Hyaku hinges and rice starch. The customer is concerned about the longevity of the prints. I suppose I could seal the edges with some type of clear acrylic tape. I am also concerned with the weight of whole sandwich and its stability ...

Got suggestions?

1) Why on earth would they every want to look at the back of a papyrus?

2) Who is going to help them take that big of a frame off the walk to look at . . . . dead plant leaves?

3) Once you have talked them down off the ledge, talk to them about hand mounting 4" squares of whashi paper in 1' grid then "T" hinge to those footprints and feed the shafts of the "T"s through slits in the backer.

4) Start your estimate no lower than $4,800. And you still my loose your assetts.

Start by giving us a clue about the art. Are these the typical mass produced papyrus pieces. Next is there a website where this stuff can be viewed from which the customer made the purchase. We had a thread like this recently and it went on and on.
