How to hang pictures without holes in the wall

The first, glossed over “tip”, was to use an industrial strength adhesive (looked like Velcro, to me). Yeah, a strong adhesive can be easily removed from your wallpaper or painted walls with leaving any holes.

I wonder how these “experts” ever got air time?

Seconds after the camera quits rolling an amber pops out of that fire and ignites the fresh pain on that stupid board.

I wish they would contact me about advertising on these shows. I have the perfect ad: "Come to The Great Frame Up, we can handle glass replacement for all your artwork!"

My acid test: if I have to ask a question, they haven't explained it right. What the heck is she going to do with that dumb board? What's the Velcro for? Was it on the back of the dumb board and meant to have the other part on the wall?

Wow. How bad is this. What a dumb little video.

The worst of it is, our customers are going to see that dingbat with her clever "tip," and come in asking to purchase one of those leaning boards!

I love how in order toavoid using a dab of spackle they go to these elaborate, yet half thought out plans! Try taking velcro off a wall! You'll need more than spackle to cover that mess up. And the dent from the board being bumped into, and the scars from it falling over and scratching the wall.

But I think she covers that in her next episode on making a bold statement by painting only one wall!

Sell it to them, the improved version is called a 17th century french easle.

Or what ever name you want to give it to boost the price!

I think her customers are the ones that started that flurry last month about using glass as the mat so the wall color can show through.

I think in her next one she points out that you can cook dinner without turning on the stove just by setting the sofa on fire.

Who sponsored this?
GMC.
Who's asking for and will probley get a bail out along with Ford and Chrysler?

Get real...

Hanging tips....

DIY network has a little "in betweener" segment on hanging art. They use velcro strips on all the art! Course, that`s the sponsor. L.

NOTE the velcro she showed wasn`t the self stick kind...It was the kind I sew into things as a closure! Guess you could staple it to the wall. No,wait....no holes! Ya got me. L.

Board leanin' and picture framin'

Well, if the power goes out from an ice storm in the winter, that and others like it could be the first of the furniture to go in the fireplace to warm up the joint! Yes, that was pretty lame!

On the other hand, if your customer returns a print to you because it spontaneously "just fell off the wall" because of your lousy workmanship and it smells a little toasty you know their viewing habits.

I wonder if she'd take this case of "skyhooks" off my hands that I ordered a couple years ago.

you didnt notice that she started off with having to hang something "heavy" on the wall? that piece of gooey tape wont hold for long! saw similar thing on DIY--small piece on each side of the top fram that allows for placement adjustments before final sticking---looked like foam tape and WWAAAAYYYY tooo whimpy! Also saw this same 'treatment' 5(?) years ago at atlanta at the LJ booth---they used a stick of moulding(look much more interesting/artsy than the painted flat board). and we didnt get to see where she fell over the &^%$ board going from one side of the fireplce to another----whish these idiots would think about the consequences of this kindof garbage(AND ask someone in the BIZ about the ideas)

Why can't she just stick to wrapping cement blocks with wood grain contact paper for an "oak like look" to custom bookcases! These shows are dorm decor gone wild.

No Nails

You've got to be kidding me -- I'm afraid I've had many students who might try this. Like someone said "God help us from these experts!"
