Carefully of course!!

Seriously, a dead IPod is going into a small shadowbox. The glass face should be glued to the mat (so that the back will be visible), so question is: Any glue suggestions?

(IPod is dead and has no value. Reversible framing is not required in this instance).

E6000 works REALLY well on anything that you want a permanent bond. Not revesible of course!

I have used it for years on all sorts of stuff and never had a problem with anything coming loose.

E-6000
CREATES PERMANENT BOND!!
Please work in well ventilated room!!!

Use it on
fabric,
wood,
metal,
glass,
ceramics,

Flexible
Dries Clear
Waterproof
Non-Flammable
Photo Safe

Lascaux 360 or Lascaux 498 will also bond well. Let it set up overnight.

Since they only want to see the back why not gut it? You wouldn't have to worry about the battery leaking, or catching fire ;) and it would be much lighter and you could probably sew it on.

FWI...There is a battery franchise (can't think of the name) but they will remove (and replace) ipod batteries while you wait.

Bob

You can remove the battery yourself if you want, its actually not that hard; I use to fix ipods for people. There are instructional videos on the internet that can show you how. Most of the videos involve special plastic tools that they sell to get the case open, but guitar picks work just as well.

Hmmm, maybe I should remove the battery..... because the customer told me the young lady dropped this IPod in water (maybe the toilet....:vomit:).

Darn, I didn't charge for sewage water dripping on my work area!

The young lady just picked up the framed IPod, and guess what??

She told me she dropped it in the ................toilet!!!

Good thing I washed my hands 33 times after I worked on it.......:p

Aww, Paul get all the fun stuff to frame.

I'm reposting this link for reference, comes up when you search "glue anything to anything":
http://www.thistothat.com/

(I just looked it up... they're answer is spray mount it. What?!?! (Plastic->Fabric/Paper))

.....and that's why plumbers don't bite their fingernails.:vomit:

Just for reference, the full set of "Plumber's Rules":

1) Hot's on the left
2) Payday's on Friday
3) Sh** won't run uphill
4) Don't bite your nails

Anything else is just fluff..... :p And hand sanitizer is a Good Thing!:D

hate to call you out on them rules Bill ..... but payday is always on Tueday.... to your wife. Same with house painters. Been that way for a few generations.

and you forgot #5....... pants are always measured and bought to allow for maximum reveal. :D

Seeing as its framed and done, glad you found a way. One thing i was going to mention was a tape 3M puts out that holds house numbers to concrete. You can find it at most box home suply stores and it really holds. Whenever we do sports framing with hockey pucks, we throw a length on them. Haven't found anything yet that holds the weight as well. It comes in a 1" wide roll, grey with red buffer strips (the stuff you peel off).

LOL...well 2 things: I don't bite them and I am not a plumber.....;)

I am glad the IPOD is almost 100% sealed and didn't allow (much) raw sewage inside......
