As I am sure most of you are aware that Ministry (the most brutal industrial metal band of the late 80's early 90's) are on the last leg of their last tour ever. I have returned from their show in Philly at about 5am this morning. My thirty-two year old body does not take the punishment the way my nineteen year old counter parts can but fortunately enough I returned in better condition than the tickets for this show did. I wish to frame them as a keep-sake. I have the idea putting them in my press is the way to go to get out the creases and bends and whatnot. My question is at what tempature and for what duration? These are standard ticketmaster tickets.
Rock on!

I thought of that too... actually I would prob. hindge it and allow the ticket to keep its movement (let those battle scars fly) but at the same time I kind of wanted to see it straightened out.

Agreed Paul! Thanks for talking some sense into me! And Jfeig thanks for the heads up on the heat.

laminate them. :D just kidding. ;)

NO HEAT,

They are thermal printed tickets....... they will turn black!!!!!!!!

Yup... no heat.. nooooooooo

Ministry.. I loooove them so. Saw them many times when I was in high school. One of the best concerts was Seplatura, Helmet and Ministry back in 92. What... A... Show!! Shame that this is it for them :(

Ok, time to locate my old cds for tomorrows drive to work.

I can even dig the old stuff, with Al's fake britsh accent n all.

And I hear you on the body pain. Now, I just sway back and forth trying not to spill my beer at concerts.. rather than dancing in the pit.

As with any art, but especially these, be sure
to keep them out of direct sunlight.....

I listened to Ministry in HS as well.... never went to a show, though. I did go to a Godflesh concert once, quite an experience.

As for the tickets, I have framed them both ways, encapsulated and with corners. Since your tickets are less than flat, I would be tempted to encapsulate, since they may not lay flat enough for the corners. Did you get a concert poster? A lot of bands are going back to the cool 60's type posters for the shows. I just framed a Jesu poster for a friend of mine, and it is one of the nicest concert posters I've seen in a while.... metallic inks and heavy stock. Maybe you can do the stubs and the poster in one frame (if you have one).

I think I am going with the more "worn look" and just going to hinge it and float it... think it might look cool. As far as the poster... heck yeah. I actually did a bunch of Burning Man stuff this year and they turned out great. You are right people are def. making higher quality swag.
