How many custom framing shops and professional framers are in the US?

Anybody have an idea how many custom shops are there? How many big box (Michael's, etc) outlets are there? How many professional framers work in the trade?

How many mirror and picture frames we all and contract manufactures produce per year?

Bork you will probaly get the best answer from a supplier that distributes nationally.Or maybe the PPFA or one of the national Trade magazines.
I once tried to check the number just here in N.O. for a local PBS station's Art Auction,and the number was over 100 so if you want NATIONAL numbers it will be HUGE.
