Hello everyone,
Can some of you give me ideas on hinging? Paste....tape (hinging tape).... Which is best.

Thanks in advance...just wondering what is your experience.
I have a numbered print that is very dear to a customer....giving as a gift. What is best that I do.

True hinges are made of cooked starch paste and
Japanese tissue. Putting hinges on valued items,
properly, requires some training and extensive
practice. There are verious place, (books, video
tapes, classes, web sites) where you can learn more about hinging, but it is important to learn
about them before putting them on the client's
work. There is a preservation supplement on
the pictureframingmagazine.com web site that is
on this topic.

Get yourself some Nori paste packets, and do a quick search on The Grumble for Nori paste.

And, as Hugh said, practice before you hinge something important.
