TRACY ART & FRAME

Guest
I've been trying to email you direct but it seems that your profile i'snt up to date.

Saw an old post on the grumble about free art.
I was wondering how this promotion has done for you?
I've been thinking of doing the same and was wondering if you have found any
down side to your offer.

Hi Diver Dave,

Yes , this promotion can be very successful, but you have to have rules.

1) Run it as a promotion, not as an "everyday deal".

2) Because it is a "promotion", you must "promote" it.

3) Pick a maximum price point for the prints (we use $35).

4) The print must be custom framed - no readymades, etc.

5) Customers can order from catalogs, but they must pay for the print in advance, then when the print comes in and they have it framed, we apply the price of the print (sans shipping) to the framing order.

If you're margins are in line, and your average custom framing order is over $160, you'll probably only be giving away about 10-11% of the total order at best, and like I said before you'll obviously get way better results from this than you would if it were a "10% Off Custom Framing" sale.

I have put my new email address in my profile, so if you want more info, or a couple other different ways to use this idea, drop me a line.

Regards,
Max.
