Aww Seth, i'm so sorry to hear about your misfortune. What a bummer! You are the second one that i've seen on the Grumble and Exchange. Whats going on? Is there any way you could open your own shop? You could try being a sales rep for a frame supplier. Hope you can find something soon.

I'm looking and praying, so we'll see what happens. My former employer didn't just let me go Friday, there were two others, so it wasn't personal. I am at liberty now, so if you're in NYC or close, and you need permanent or temporary help, let me know

As for opening my shop, that would take capital I don't have, and repping just isn't me.

Sorry to hear about your dilemma. It would have been nice if your boss had given you some advance warning instead of shock therapy. There has to be another shop in the area that would love to have you.

On the other hand...NYC has so many museums. Perhaps there would be something at one of them for you.

update time...I have resume's all over town, many nice offers from here and HHers, and I'm doing time temping for some of my old bosses while I wait for the right job to surface. The support I've been getting here is really keeping my spirits up and I also think it's bringing me luck, so thanks!
