Hello, I am searching for the correct vernacular regarding a frame technique where there are two horizontal rails/channels, mounted to a long corridor parallel to one another, channels opposed, so that several large art tiles (acrylic, glass, canvas) can be slid in next to one another, and then when needed, they can easily slide out to be changed/swapped for other art panels. Is there a formal name to this framing technique? I am at a loss. Thank you so much for your help!

I imagine you could use a regular cap shape moulding as long as it has the right rabbet depth, and screw it to the wall with upper and lower rails the right distance apart with their rabbets facing one another.
