Greetings,

Maybe an odd question, but I'm at least hoping it's an easy one for you.

To keep this short, let's just say the company I work for bought a framing business and we have some of these frames that they want to sell. They were already made and I don't even know what to call them (resin maybe?).

Anyway I enclosed a few pictures of what I'm talking about. Can anybody tell me about how much frames like that should sell for and also what they're called? I'm at home right now and don't have the figures in front of me but I think the biggest one is 36x36, and some are 22x24 just to give you an idea of the sizes.

I can provide more pictures too if needed.

Thanks!

Hi Brian

Do any of these have any markings or company names listed on them? I don't recognized these myself, but I've carried few resin frames.

If not, I would suggest pricing out a similar looking moulding, in wood...and figuring that these are probably worth about 1/3 of the cost of those and mark up to your standard retail multiplier.

If they really want to continue to sell these frames, its much more important that you find the original company that sold them to you and get a current pricelist.

And welcome to the Grumble!

Hi Brian.:D

Those look like typical Far-Eastern imports to me. Particularly the third one. The cardboard corner protectors are a dead giveaway. If you poke about at the back you may find a "Made in China" sticker or stamp.
These vary in quality from tacky to very classy. Yours lean toward the latter. Most are actually reasonably good as far as build quality goes (given the price). What tends to let them down is the finishes which can be very 'loud'. Also, they only come in standard sizes.
As for prices, being UK based I can't really give even an estimate. But they are generally a lot cheaper than they appear to be if you get my drift.

It is hard to find a right name, but take a look at this website:

Thanks for all your help and suggestions thus far.

Looking at the stickers I've found that 6 of them are made in Mexico. Also found a couple are sold from Kendall Moulding, so those I can probably track down a price.

Would being made in Mexico have more value than the far east?

Thanks again
