HELP!

Don Mar unfortunately left me a box of 32x40 glass, not 32x40 mirror... and tomorrow I'm driving 600 miles to deliver these framed mirrors.

Where can I find reasonably priced 1/8" mirrors to cut to size... like, right now?

I'm going to call a glass company... but I don't know what to do. This is the second thing on the same order they screwed up.

...and everything on the online phone books is "auto glass" in the mirrors section.

What size are you cutting the mirror?

Home centers have some cheap framed mirror for hanging on back of doors. probably about $10.00 for a 12" x 60". they no doubt also have some sheet mirror, don't know about thickness but the door mirror is thin.

How many are you looking for and are they supposed to be beveled? I'd also try places like Home Depot or Lowe's (or any hardware or home improvement stores). They sometimes have inexpensive mirrors in standard sizes and perhaps between them all, you can get the quantity you need. Bummer.

Lowe's always has a really good selection of sizes. Prices are pretty close to wholesale as well.

Called Lowes - they said they have it there. I hope they do! I also have a call to Binswenger and they said I can pick some up in the morning.

Thanks for the suggestions! I didn't think Lowes would have it! :)

These are a series of 12x12 mirrors for my old boss at Madison Square Garden. She's hooking me up with backstage passes to pearl jam, so I figured the least I can do is frame a bunch of mirrors for her.

12x12? Why not just pick up a box of mirror tiles at Lowes? No cutting involved.

Actually 12x12 is the outer frame size. Inside it's like 10.75 or something. :)

Chris have fun at the show! Hope you get this done easily so you can enjoy the show.

Chris, I only just now found this, and am SO hoping it
worked out for you. That's the suckiest thing ever,
when someone makes a mistake that just kicks you
in the gut. I hope so much that you were able to
get the job done. The only other thing I could think
of was to call a glass shop in the town you were going
to and fit them there, but they'd either have said
no or charge you up the wazoo* for it.

I hope you have a great time at the concert! :)

Yup - Lowes had 18"x30" or something close to that. $10 a pop. Can't beat that - especially in a pinch. Very easy to cut too. Getting them finished now and gonna get them to a very important (but very nice) old boss of mine. :)

pearl jam, here I come. :D

FYI Jeff Ament lives in Missoula. He's a customer. We get to see photos of them on tour occasionally. He also did the photography for one of their albumcovers. Nice, quiet guy.

Indeed he does live hear you, and does seem to be a quiet type of guy. He might remember me from front row in 98 when I had a sign "may I play drums with you" and Ed (the singer) was bantering with me in the middle of the show about that possibility. He's a heck of a bass player, even fretless.

Jeff seems like a funny guy, in an odd way. He's on this video about 1/3 the way in.
