Help needed...

First, I'm NOT good with machines...in fact, quite illiterate - so keep that in mind as I try to pose my question.

The compressor is misbehaving. It won't shut off. My brother replaced the pressure switch, but still having the problem. Any ideas?

Might help to know what brand and model of compressor you have?

What brand of compressor? Do you have a tank pressure gauge and a regulator with line pressure gauge?
Some pressure switches are adjustable and can be adjusted to cut off at a set pressure - 120 psi is a normal tank pressure for compressors that I am familiar with. Regulated (line) pressure is usually set in the 60 to 90 psi range.

You may also have an air leak that is preventing the compressor from reaching the proper psi to shut off.
