In my backyard we have a grape vine which produces some small fruit, but more importantly in the fall, beautiful autumn color leaves and branches. I have a number of them dried and just hanging or mounted on the wall. I would like to frame or mount one very nice one I've saved from last fall. Initially I pressed it with parchment paper and it has been kept safe on the top of a cabinet. Now I'm looking for suggestions on how to preserve it in a frame for wall mounting. I'd appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks

Solution
We've mounted things like that with small diameter clear fishing line. The problem which I don't have a real good answer for is how to keep a dead biological specimen from falling apart once it's in the frame.
Here's a picture of the aforementioned branch.

Solution
Look into the technology in making dried flower arrangements, and the direct contact overlay (DCO) technique of framing.

Maybe talk to a florist about any possible treatment that would preserve the color and keep the leaves from crumbling.
You could mount it will small, strategically-placed mylar strips fed through little slots behind the stem and affixed to the back.
Or dots of PVA glue too if needed.
