HELP! Embellished print sticking to plexiglass

I am repairing a piece for a client. Mat strips are falling from the deep sides which is easy to fix. The art is also sticking to the plexiglass and is really stuck. It seems to be a print embellished with paint.

How do I separate the print from the plexi? It's been sitting in the sun in a bright reception room and I'm afraid it will ruin the art.

Help!

Better recommend that the client have a conservator look at that. If you risk it yourself and the art is damaged, it will become YOUR problem.

I seem to be agreeing with Rick and Less on this one.

With your customer's permission and signing off on a release form you could possibly try gentle heat and it may release but I would never suggest this and take no liability if you try it and something bad happens.

Yea don't make it your problem by messing it up further, call you client and explain the situation.
