Grumbler
Hello Everyone,
My name is Jeff. My wife Donna and I have a frame shop in Alabama and would like to take a moment to stop procrastinating and say hello to all you good folks in this forum. It’s really good to meet the people of the trade and to be able to learn and share ideas. We have been lurking for a while and have really appreciated the experienced knowledge, advice, and of course the humor of Warped.
Our shop is a small one. At times it’s a gathering place for our customers to just come in and have a cup of coffee and say hello. We have made many friends in the past fifteen years while framing the needs of the people in our small town. However, clientele from a 50-mile radius supports our business. The beautiful mountain-lakes area brings people from the surrounding cities to relax and retire. We only pray that they bring their friends that have more money. Hehehe
Slap!
Ok, Donna says to be nice.
Four people work at our shop. Donna pretty much handles all the customers’ needs in designing of the framing, purchasing, and art sales. The customers pretty much won’t let anyone else wait on them. This makes for a nice long day for her, as she has to produce what she takes in. If she isn’t working while everyone else is having coffee she needs to be. Everyone’s favorite quote to her is, “Donna, are you caught up yet?”
My job is more moral support and funding of the frame shop goodies. I have to admit that the hardest part of my job is dealing with Donna after a hard day at the design table. Slap!
Ok, it’s not the hardest part. I have her to thank for seventeen years of marriage and two beautiful daughters. All of whom I am very proud.
Hope you all have a safe and peaceful Memorial Day. God Bless all you grumblers that have served our great country in rememberance of those who did not come home to us.
