Happy National Art & Framing Month! Just wanted to be the first to wish everyone a prosperous October and start of the holiday season.

Does anyone have any promotions planned? Anybody order the marketing kit from the Art & Framing Council?

Thanks Bob. I do plan on announcing it in my flyers, but have not gone with the council's package, although I should. A good reminder, since mailing is going out in a week.
 
Yes, We sent a press release to the local newspaper on the 29th of Sept. About National Frame month But no sign of it in paper . Some time you get lucky sometimes you don't

Hey Jim, how small is your "local" paper? I've been doing some articles for our community paper that comes out monthly. I use the press release material from the AFC and just make an article out of it. They then run the article with an ad of mine. It's a "swap" thing. They need articles, and I need ads!

Did you follow up on the press release? I'm not speaking from experience because I haven't done any of that, but I've read that you need to follow up to "make sure they got it", and "do you need any more info" etc type of thing.
