Hang turkish rug in a frame

Welcome to the G

It depends on size, what your expectations are. There are many ways to frame this or hang this.
Oh thank you... it's a small silk rug.. area is 3.6 sq' and the question is about the fringe that flops if hung vertically. I am leaning towards the bevel idea.

I've done a number of these. I cut an opening in the matboard/ foamcore the size of the rug. The rug sets in that and I arrange the fringe on the matboard. A Direct Contact Overlay with acrylic should keep the fringe in place. The rug is set down so the acrylic isn't resting on it so much that it would flatten any pile. A plus is that nothing is needed to be attached to the rug itself.
