Does anybody else have this problem, or know how to solve it?
When logging onto this site (only this site), the following keeps popping up:

"Gateway Timeout
The following error occurred:
A DNS lookup error occurred. The request timed out during the lookup.
Please contact the administrator."

Only after pressing the "Refresh" icon a number of times can I get in here?

Maybe someone's trying to tell me something?

I have read about this error before, but only for people using NETSCAPE and/or ZoneAlarm software.

Are you using a router with NAT (Network Address Translation)?

Are you using a proxy server?

Which company do you use to connect to the internet?

The official error message means:
"504 Gateway Timeout: A server being used by this server has not responded in time. The server, while acting as a gateway or proxy, did not receive a timely response from the upstream server specified by the URI (e.g. HTTP, FTP, LDAP) or some other auxiliary server (e.g. DNS) it needed to access in attempting to complete the request."

It could very well be a temporary problem with your internet company, and their DNS routing table. I'd give it a couple days and see if it clears up. You may also want to check with the ISP to make sure you are using the correct DNS settings.

I use Zone Alarm with IE 5.5.. Admittedly using BTopenworld..

Thanks for the response, Mike. This could be something minor, but I'm a computer moron. Anyways, to answer your questions:

1) No.

2) No.

3) "High Speed" (ha ha) cable

4) The message, as I originally posted, is in its entirety.

5) This has been going on for several weeks now.
