Hello,

Does anyone use the Grip Lock hanging system in their shop for hanging artwork? or any other cable system with sliding hooks...

We use it in the gallery and I am wondering if anyone else has a work around for hanging more that one painting on just one cable.

Thanks

We use the Arakawa track and cable and hang up to three frames on one cable. For large frames with glass, we use two cables, and hang two large 32x40 frames with glass per set. No problems. Dont need a work around, just use extra grip locks per cable. The cables come in different gauges and strength. I think ours are rated at 75 lbs.

Thanks Ernesto..

That system is just like GripLock. When I put > 1 painting on a cable the bottom painting pulls the cable tight and the top painting wobbles on the cable. I attached 2 pics. One is of a product they sell that stabilizes the painting and the other is a pic I got online. If you look at the cable with two painintgs on it, you will see that the top painting is leaning to one side.

I would have to buy many of those stabilizers...just wondering if you have this problem with the "wobble"???

Thanks

No problem with wobble. But if I only hang one pic, I use the center of the cable as opposed to the bottom. If I hang only one at the bottom, it tends to lean outward.

Havent used the stabilizers. The design of the grip lock hooks will affect the positioning of the pics.
