Having made Craftsman style furniture for over 30 years now, and having started in Pasadena, CA which was home to the Greene brothers of Greene & Greene fame (the Gamble House); it was not a problem when this couple wanted the "G&G Cloud Lift" on a cherry frame with "pegged through tenons".

Great looking frame Baer! What do you use to shape your boards? Seems like you must have put together quite the shop.

Shaping is mostly hand planes and chisles, Terry.

But a good Bandsaw, small jointer,& 13" planer are also very usefull. With this curly grain, a very sharp wood body Hog plane was the best tool after the bandsaw. Final was spoke shave #63 and then a scraper plane Stanley #112(bench) and finished with a card scraper.

A Montana Pumice block works good for rough shaping irregular shapes in highly figured wood too.
