How to type just one letter to go to certain websites

To avoid typing a full web address each time you want to go certain sites (i.e, http://www.thegrumble.com):
  • Bookmark the website (CTRL+D)
  • in Bookmarks, right click on the address, select Properties
  • In the field Keyword, type just one letter, g, for example
  • Click OK.
From now on, just type g and hit enter in the address bar... ;)

Repeat for other sites (using different letters, of course).

Good tips Paul.

Thanks.

How about the Add-on called "Remove It Permanently". I could not do without it. It will permanently delete anything that is on the page of a website. I use it mainly for advertising! :D

What about this add-on: TrashMail.net?

"Create a free disposable email address! It's really easy to use:
Create a new email address on trashmail.net. All mails to this address will be forwarded to your real email address for a number of times you can set up on the following form. When the limit is reached, the Trashmail.net email address will be automatically deleted. All following mails (like spam, newsletter, etc) will be rejected at Trashmail.net."

When i want info, for example, info on "Disney World" i use TrashMail. I specify how many time i want a reply and choose over what period of time (1 day, 2 days,.... one month, etc). I can change the options if i please at any time or just least it as is.

Super program to stop contagious :vomit: JUNK mail. When you give your ture email address, you start receiving junk mail from every backstabbing JUNK mail distributor in the world! I have been using TrashMail for the past 4 years and would NOT do without it! :D

I purchased Roboform which allows me to bookmark each site I visit, and also remembers each password. You can try a free version which will let you keep up to 10 sites in memory.

OK I must learn this trick

You can also create a mozilla profile that saves all of your bookmarks so if you need to recover your system or add a new laptop or whatever you can load up your bookmarks.

Thanks imaluma.... another "related" Bookmark backup topic is to click Bookmarks/Organize Bookmarks/File/Export, pick out whatever folder you want (I use a TEMP1 folder) it to be exported to as a backup copy of your Bookmarks. What i do is to put a copy of it on my flash drive so when i go to a friend's home and i want to open some website in MY BOOKMARKS i plug in my flash drive and open the imported bookmarks folder. If they only use Internet Explorer (Yuck!) and DO NOT use Firefox, no problem... it is usable in Internet Explorer. :kaffeetrinker_2:

stumblers?

I have located some extraordinary websites using 'StumbleUpon'.

It install as a toolbar and after you have filled in your 'interests', just click on the 'Stumble' button to randomly go to sites relating to your interests! http://www.stumbleupon.com/

A few sites I've found:
http://tinyurl.com/2ba34l
http://www.retailmenot.com/coupons/computers
http://www.piclicious.tv/2007/11/amazing-art-on-egg-shell.html
http://thecontaminated.com/pipeline-fish-tank/

I thought I was the only grumbler and stumbler - I LOVE stumbleupon, it's my favorite. I can't even count how many interesting, humerous, amazing things I've experienced. Highly recommended!!

Ron,
Its great that you also like Stumbleupon. I have 211 sites bookmarked in my Stumble favourites and there have been 10 times that many that I haven't bothered to mark!

There is some fantastic stuff out there, and this is the best way to find some of it!
