High bidder wins.

No reserve.

Decided to do some cleaning.

The goal is to get rid of things taking up space, and find poeple who want it now to take up their space.

And boy do I have things that take up space!

For those of you how think the Peacock image is strangely familiar. Here is a Thayer product from the time period.

It's not for sale. This is from my Grandma's house.

Purchased by my Grandfather, and painted in by him (badly I might add). And then later framed at one of the orignal AAron Bros. stores in LA.

I was going to say, Marc, the frame looks a lot like the old Italian moulding 37-145G. I used to buy it from Sheldon 100' at a time.

As for your grandfather's painting.... I've framed worse.

Baer,
It it actually looks like the Allegra line from Larson.

But the color is straight Roma aged silver.

It's when you put one side by side with the modern counterpart, you can see if they went for Deisgn or Finish. Roma hit the finish spot on.

On another note, the auction for 2 of the items ends in a few hours.

Just so you have it all in one place, here are the listings again.

Interstingly the Thayer book has been getting me lots of "questions to seller." It seems that there are a good number of folks with items that have Thayer 1880 or 1883 on the back, and they are looking for more info about the item. The Catalog is the closest thing that they have seen. And it's already 55 years after the item they have.
