I just got my new Asus Transformer Prime tablet :)

So now what apps should I put on this bad boy?

The apps I use the most on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 are the browser, email, the Kindle App and Angry Birds.

If you buy a http://www.slingbox.com/go/home and hook it up at home you can then load it on your tablet for an additional $35 one time fee and watch your home TV while at work at the shop. I use it to watch the Browns and Indians play while I'm working and it works great on my Toshiba Thrive tablet. As an added bonus you can also install the software on your new phone (shouldn't have to pay again) and watch your TV while bored in waiting rooms, lines, airports or whereever (be careful if you have verizon on the Phone though because the bandwidth can kill you, I have unlimited with Sprint) Use wifi connection at work with the phone or tablet though.

Johnny, I have/had a slingbox, but it no longer works. I got 2 years out of it before it died.

I do have Verizon, but mine is grandfathered in and is unlimited. I will consider this though for watching the Buckeyes this fall. I have been able to catch most of the games steamed either through ESPNgo.com or BTNgo.com

Congratulations Dave!! I have been using LogMeIn n my PC's. Pretty nifty. I'm sure it will work with your new friend, too.

Ah cool. I still have a first generation slingbox that worked physically but stopped when they went browser based instead of a desktop app so I got a new one. It supports hi def now so it wasn't all wasted money.

A trick if you want to see full websites and not mobile versions is to open your brower and type "about:debug" in it and hit enter. Nothing will seem to happen. Then go to the menu > settings. You'll now see a new menu item named "debug" Select that and you'll see "UAString" Select that and you'll be able to choose how websites see your device. If you set it to "desktop" you'll get the full versions of all websites, since you have the big tablet screen and not a small phone screen this makes sense. Great for sites such as Youtube. You have to do this each time you boot up the device.

I installed a kitchen timer with 3 simultaneous timers and use it for things like timing how long the frames stay in each of my 3 vices when I do vice them. I sometimes use a stopwatch app to time how long it takes for repair jobs. Splashtop HD lets me use the tablet screen to control my PC. Evernote saves notes among various devices so you don't have to move them around yourself. Astrid Tasks for a to-do manager. Cool Reader for non-Kindle generic reader. I have the colors in it set up to look just like a Kindle. Tweetdeck for social stuff. "Musical Lite" is a fun little free app with a keyboard, piano, and drums. Also have Pandora and IHeartRadio on there.
