After using Firefox as by browser for a couple of years I finally ran out of patience with the regular Adobe flash crashes, the unworkable bookmarks setup and its unintelligible instructions and tried Google Chrome.

What a difference.

I imported my old bookmarks from I.E., set up the most used ones in the top toolbar and tidied up my folders in about fifteen minutes flat. New bookmarks can be dropped straight into the appropriate folders and existing ones are shuffled around by simple drag and drop in the organiser.

why didn't I do this ages ago?

Yep, it's a neat browser ... if you have not already done so, there are some really useful extensions you should take a look at ... one of my favorites is the Chrome to Phone extension

And if you like Chrome browser, the next time you need a new machine check out Chromebook ... low cost, no hassle, good integration, instant start ... I use mine more than any of our regular PCs / laptops / tablet.

Also handy is Profiles - I have 3, one for work, one for a volunteer job I do and one for personal. All have the G logged in...

Chrome is a fine browser for Google. Specially developed to collect your surfing-data and PC-working. You pay the browser-using with sharing your data with Google, that Google can use for advertising and selling.

Every browser and tool bar does that, that is nothing new, every web site you to puts cookies on your computer. If your shop of airplane tickets, one day and go back the next day and purchase them, they are a high price. It does not matter what your browser is. They are all free, is it unreasonable for the company to steer ad to you?

2 weeks ago I purchased an ACER 7 Chromebook for $200 with a 320g hard drive at Staples. I downloaded UBUNTU flavor of Linux and partitioned the drive to start up in Linux. I am using Chrome, Skype and Open Office. It weighs in at about 3 pounds and is the size of a 8.5 x 11 pad of paper. my only add on was a $15 wireless mouse.

I noticed that years ago with RyanAir. Just do a quit of my browser to trash all cookies to do a "clean" visit again to het the first-offered prices.
