Goodbye to Tru Vue's "football" mat

We have really become attached to Tru Vue's Kenya Brown 27119. Because Ohio State won the championship this year, we have used it a lot. Our customers love it, and it really perks up a design.

Way back when, Kit was the framer who mentioned using it for football pictures. Thanks Kit! Recently she listed the Tru Vue mats that were being discontinued. Thanks for the head's up, again, Kit. We got the last five pieces in the area. BTW, without Kit's info, we still wouldn't know these mats were discontinued. Neither Tru Vue nor our suppliers has passed on the information. :(

I wish TV could continue to produce this one mat.

Have any other Grumblers sold much of it? It truly was a mat that sold itself.
 
Jana- try Culver or West Shore Distributers for Queen City mats. They have a football and a basketball mat as well as a ton of other wierd mats.

My company purchased football and basketball mats for all our locations about 8 months ago. I got 25 sheets of each. I still have about 23 sheets of each one left. You want some, we retail full sheets for hmm... think it is $6.49 or 9.99 or something. But for you, i'll make a deal.
I figured we'd all be sitting on these mats for 10 years. Hey....that gives me an idea. Remember the "sit upons" we used to make in Girl Scouts. Hmmmmmm.....
 
For all you framers who have the tru vue football mats in stock, they make great middle mats on a triple mat. I have used the dark red on watercolor florals and you can't believe how nice they look. I only leave about 1" of middle mat. If you pick the other two mat colors carefully, these mats looked great.

Are the Queen City football mats the same as the Tru Vue's?
