What are some good trade magazine that I should be subscribing to?

I already get Picture Framing Magazine and used to get Decor.... What other ones are there?

Thank you in advance.

Personally I think you already have the right one. Art Business news and its sister publication Framing Business news sometimes have valuable content but they are not as in-depth as PFM. I sometimes find myself saving articles out of Art World News too.
If you are looking for new ideas I would get at least one "shelter" mag like House & Garden or Architectural Digest or Metropolitan Home or House Beautiful or Souithern Living -- depending on which represents your target market best. This way you get a feel for how people are decorating currently and what other home features they spend their money on.
Also, trade mags not specifically for framing might be interesting. Someone on another thread recommended one for the scrapbooking trade.
I'm sure Betty will be here soon to recommend the best business mags too.

These are not So called Trade magazines, but there really help when you are wanting to get great framing ideas. Especially for hanging group.

I read Southern Accents, Veranda, and Traditional Homes.

These are high end homes and really know what is the lastest and the greatest in decorating, which is what we need to know to be good designers at the counter.

Those are good ones to leave out on the table if you have an area for customers to sit and wait patiently for your undivided attention.

You DO have an area for customers to sit and wait patiently for your undivided attention, don't you?

LeighAnn,

Sunset Magazine is mostly geared to regions now and they get a lot of stuff in about Portland and our wine areas.

Portland Magazine in another that is well done, as is Portland Monthly.

Dwell started off well, but then the million dollar grass huggers jumped off the deep end and forgot reality.

I'm waiting for two new ones to debut after the first of the year.. "Pearl" for Loft living, and Wine Country Living.. or Willamette... hope they decide before they go to print.....
