Gilded moulding (length) artcare 'Arabian white' double mount with LJ 'Mantilla' fillet between.
Laced and (aperture) padded with 2oz polyester quilt wadding.
Nielsen 'clearcolour plus UV' glass - a waterwhite AR glass made by 'Flabeg' - 90% UV protection - that missing 9% is the price you pay for a low iron substrate - but it's just 'not there' in the right light/at the right angle (!)
The piece was intended as a wedding present - you can see the date! It was started well in advance, but due to illness, took 7 years to complete.
You can see a map of Cyprus - where the two 'J's were married - a pair of happy/sad masks - both in to amateur dramatics, and the shapes each side of the two 'J's are organ pipes - Mr 'J' is an organist.
I love getting stuff like this in.
