An idea I had many years ago. After joining a corner of a wood frame there is usually glue squeeze out to be cleaned up. Sometimes this is difficult due to the frames contours or compo ornamentation. I give a beginning wipe with a cloth rag and then I use a paintbrush to get in the nooks and crannies. I buy cheap 1/2" brushes by the box and cut the bristles to a length of about 3/4" which leaves them stiff enough to do the job. A few strokes or twists and the glue is gone. A brush will last for many frames. This beats twisting a paper towel into a point and poking away. Try it.
Small ideas such as this make framing much easier. Think about the way you work and pass some ideas along.
