Glue Bottle Woes!

Ditto that Charles (and Ron)

I use a picnic-style mustard bottle I got at our 5 & 10 (I think it is one of the last in the country!). Has the cap attached to a built-in "leash", can't misplace it. Best $1.49 I spent!

I found the condiment bottles at restaurant supply stores work great. They have the wider openings for pouring the glue into without having the glue blob out and running down the sides and all over your hands.

I generally have lost the red cap by the time I am halfway through the bottle of glue. Then I cover the tip with a rubber finger cut from a latex glove. I have 5 shots per glove to loose the finger.

No jokes about my rubber fingers, I'm a volunteer with Planned Parenthood!

Then eventually you end up with one of the most useless things on earth: fingerless rubber gloves! LOL! I was cracking myself up the other day thinking about that.

I found some cool little bottles in the Bulk Barn and they are in the candy-making aisle - they have wide teal colored caps with attached toppers and they actually stay attached! Come in two sizes - maybe 4 oz and 8 oz - for the candy maker. I use them for my Maxim glues and they are great.

Was joining frames the other day and set the bottle down. Looked around, no cap, just the cap to a dried up sharpie laying there. Dropped that on the top and Voila', cap replacement. Must have been the build up of glue around the tip that made it fit, but it worked. When I pulled the sharpie cap off later, all the dried crud came off with it. Used a dental pic to clear the cap and ready for re-use.

I have a whole collection of caps to dried up markers of all shapes and sizes. Never can tell when one of those little suckers will come in handy to replace a cap that has decided to go on a walkabout. Electrical caps work as well.

I use the Glu-Bot. It is a plastic glue bottle you fill with the glue you're using and you can apply glue vertically, horizontally, or any where in between - it is the slickest glue applicator for a regular frame shop there is. Just google Glu-Bot and you will find where to purchase them - I forget to put the cap back on all the time and don't seem to ever have a problem.
