Can u guys tell me how much u charge for just the glass (regular & antiglare) in the following sizes?

5x7
6x8
9x12
11x14
14x18
16x20
20x24
24x30
24x36
Basicaly what i want to know is if the client buys a frame and adds a glass what do u charge?

Thank you

Don't do ready mades but when I did if I used scrap glass I threw it in for free. People would ask how much for a ready made, ask if I could take less. Then ask how much without the glass.....

Ready mades weren't fun...

That's some serious cheap glass, there, John!!

Based on the cost to me from my supplier versus your stated charge, you are making a low of .20 to a high of .70 cents on the glass.

11x14 costs me .88 per sheet and you sell it for 1.08.

Now I might be a tad more expensive than you. I charge .40 per UI on regular glass. It takes about the same amount of time to handle it and clean it and seam it as one of the larger ones.

Never had anyone complain about the price so far.

Let's hear it from a few others.

Armyframer... did you mean .3 to .7 per UI?

or that you were really cheap at .03 to .07 per UI.

So, in reference to another thread here,,, if your customer hacks her chin when using the glass you sold her how far do you think the $3.05 will go toward your lawyer costs?

I wonder if a sign saying "legal recompense limited to the lower of medical costs or costs of materials sold" would hold up in court :)

11x14" ~$3.25

16x20" ~$6.75

20x24" ~$10.

For Reg which I hardly ever use anymore, mostly Conservation.

I would find it difficult to charge less, one, you have the waste factor, breakage, defects ect...

John, I don't know how your are surviving, but more power to you if it is working. With a 60% coms that doesn't leave much to pay the rent.

I'm at .45 per united inch if I wash it and fit in a frame. Non-Glare .90 per UI
If someone just wants to buy glass to take home I'll knock 20% off.
