When I asked why a wholesaler would offer gift certificates, M&M's mouthpiece replied:
"We offer exemplary service and coupons, not gift certificates, to entice you to buy..."
But a look at their web site reveals a page that offers gift certificates:

Sorry if the administrators of the Grumble consider this issue a dead horse, but I offer this as proof that M&M is misrepresenting their attempt to sell to anyone with a resale number by revealing wholesale prices to the public. Maybe the grumblers who are not offended by this policy will want to purchase a few gift certificates for their favorite customers, who can then browse the M&M web site and cut out the middle man. Or maybe not.
