Getting tired of having to log back in to the G....

...every time I restart my computer or shut down my browser. I always check the "Remember Me" box so that means it remembers my name and password - but not apparently the fact that I stayed logged in for over ten years without any of this nonsense. This has been happening for about a year now - makes the Grumble less conducive to utilize.

I am getting sick and tired - and yes, I have tried all of the supposed remedies.

I use Windows 7 and Firefox.

Any suggestions? :shrug:
 
Which remedies have you tried? If I remember, deleting all your internet browser history and all your cookies has a positive effect. If that doesn't work you'll have to wait until the honeymoon is over.
 
Are you running the browser in Privacy mode? If so it erases the cookies after every session.

I never even heard of a Privacy mode.

Hmmm. A couple of weeks ago I changed the settings to erase both history and cookies each time the browser is shut down. So maybe I should just reinstate the cookies?

But I have been having this problem way longer than making that change.

OMG - that worked!!! History will be cleared (lots of searches and viewed pages clogging things) but keeping cookies and "Active Log-ins" - YAY!!!
 
Glad to help. We are taking a couple days off between the wedding and honeymoon to return rental items, tuxes, etc. So we're still home :)
