I have an old Gene Green mini oval/circle cutter. It consists of an adjustable beam-type blade holder that pivots on a machined aluminum block which is nailed into position on the mat at the oval's center point. It could use better calibration markings, but it actually works quite well when it's properly set.
It is now starting to show its age and has become temperamental. I'd love to update or replace it. I bought it many years ago at a trade show, and have no company info. Does anyone know if this company is still around, and if so, how to contact them?
Thanks. Rick Granick, Frameworks

Yes, and I'll post it tomorrow. I have two of his products and like them immensely. He sold the company to whom I forget, and that's what I'll find out for you.

Unless someone with a better memory beats me to it.

About five or six yeaqrs ago, I had to modify some parts and was able to speak to Gene Geen at his Florida phone number listed on the original sticker. In fact, a second call from me caught him away on a road trip, but I was able to get my questions answered by his wife, who was obviously very much part of the business. I'm sorry to hear that they sold out: both Mr. & Mrs. Green were very personable people.

While not exactly high tech, and perhaps somewhat combersome, his sytem produces excellent results - often with less trouble than with the C&H's etc., - at substantially less capital expenditure.

Yes, not to mention virtually zero shop-space expenditure. My belief is that simplest solutions are often the best. Too bad we can't get software companies to believe this, eh?
Thanks for the leads on locating Green tools. I'd love to get a new base/block for my oval cutter, as well as some new calibration strips with fine gradations and accurate markings. Love the alignment-indicator marks on the base to compensate for leaning ovals.
Thanks again. --Rick

Yep, I've had my Gene Greene Machine for about five years now, and it's the best on the market as far as accuracy and shop space. Cornerstone, which bought them out honors all waranties

By the way, Cornerstone has made a neat modification to both the small and large bases...holes for SCREWS! I don't know what the company policy is, but they traded my old bases for new ones straight across at Frame-O-Rama in NYC this year. The cornerstone folks are just as decent and dedicated to the products as Gene was, so go ahead and give them a call!
