Larson-Juhl sells <u>strainer</u> stock with depths of 7/16”, 9/16”, and 1”.

Raphaels has 2 sizes (1 1/2" and 2") for gallery wrap canvas. Tele is 800-881-5191.

Fredrix makes HD bars 1-3/8" (or maybe it's 1-1/2") deep. I buy them retail 
from a local art store because I seldom need them and it's cheaper than wholesale plus freight. They're good mortised stock in 1" increments.

The definitions I use from Old Grange Graphics are
Gallery Wrap: Canvas stretched so that image is visible on <u>sides</u> of the stretcher bar. Stapled from the back of stretcher/strainer bars so staples are not visible from sides.
Museum Wrap: Canvas stretched so that image is visible from the front only i.e. white canvas visible on sides of the stretcher bar. Stapled from the back of stretcher/strainer bars so staples are not visible from sides.

Don't feel alone. I guess I was ignorant also. Now we know, so we aren't stupid anymore.
Foster sells keyed stretcher bars in custom sizes. Sorry I con't have their number, but they are at all the shows, so look in your Decor Sources issue etc.
